Shaoxing Art School was founded in 1980. It is located at the foot of the beautiful Tingshan Mountain and on the bank of the Lougong River. It was formerly known as the Shaoxing Opera Art Training Class and is now the only full-time public comprehensive secondary art vocational school in Shaoxing.
At the end of August 2022, the reconstruction and expansion project of Shaoxing Art School successfully passed the completion acceptance. The simple, modern and artistic new campus was officially unveiled, opening a new chapter in the modernization and intelligence of the school.
A multi-functional hall in the school can be used as a place for academic exchanges, large and small conferences, multimedia teaching, speeches and performances and other activities. This time, the school adopted the Peavey brand audio equipment represented by AVIM to build a professional and practical sound reinforcement system for the multi-purpose hall.
First of all, considering that the multi-functional hall is mainly responsible for language-based sound amplification needs such as academic reports and various conferences, the sound amplification system can truly and clearly restore speech signals, ensuring good speech intelligibility and sufficient and well-proportioned sound pressure. Level is extremely important.
Secondly, the multi-functional hall is also a place where teachers and students of the school perform music, singing, dancing, opera and other artistic performances, which requires a sound reinforcement system that can fully restore and reproduce various sound sources.

Accordingly, the main amplification system adopts a left, center and right channel design, using Peavey MS series line array speakers. "1 MS118B II subwoofer + 4 MS210 line arrays are hung in the left, center and right combinations of the multifunctional hall stage. "Speaker", adjust the optimal height and angle to allow direct sound to cover the listening area.
On both sides of the stage steps, an MS218B subwoofer is placed on each side. At the same time, one NC115 on each side is placed on the subwoofer as a mid- and near-field speaker, so that mid- and near-field audiences can get a better sense of hearing.
Taking into account the wide opening of the stage, 5 Impulse6R were designed as stage lip speakers, which were installed hidden and embedded to supplement the sound clarity for the audience in the middle area.

The stage here is deep and long, with a large space. Considering the listening experience of speakers during daily reports and conference activities, four NC112 wall-mounted speakers were installed on the stage columns as fixed listening speakers, two on each side, which is enough to meet daily needs.
Evenly placed at the front of the stage are four TP12M mobile monitor speakers, and four Impulse6R mobile monitor speakers in the orchestra pit. Both of them can provide performers with clear and smooth monitor effects in a timely manner when the school performs.

The power amplifier configured with the speaker is IPR™3 series (IPR™3 1600/IPR™3 3000/IPR™3 5000/IPR™3 7500). The IPR™3 series power amplifier uses switching power supply and high-speed CLASS D amplification. It also has DDT protection, DC protection, etc., which can drive the speakers to produce high-quality sound. At the same time, the addition of VSX8080D digital audio processor more effectively guarantees the operation of the entire system.
After the system is installed and debugged, it can not only make the sound in the entire multi-functional hall clear and natural, but also meet the needs of the sound direction, space and vividness in the hall.
